There are so many colours to choose from when looking at decorating a home. When starting out choosing flooring for the home, always remember the basics of colour and you won't go wrong.
The basic principles of color theory and design are simple. Use the color wheel as a visual aid in assistance in understanding the principles of color and to help create harmonious colour schemes for painting and interior decorating:
Colour Wheel:
A colour wheel provides a fast visual guide to how colours interact.
There are 2 Colour Groups:
Group 1 – Related Colours
These are colours that are immediately adjacent to each other on the colour wheel. To use the same coloured carpet and similar coloured paint would be known as a Monochromatic interior scheme.
Group 2 – Contrasting Colours
These colours are directly opposite to each other on the colour wheel or beside the opposite colour on the colour wheel. To use different coloured carpet and paint would be then known as a Complimentary interior scheme.
