While timber flooring is essentially easier to maintain than carpets, you still need to ensure you vacuum or sweep them regularly followed by giving your floors a good mop. When mopping, make sure you use a well wrung mop in warm water.
Your timber floor should be swept clean or vacuumed (with the bristles down). This will help to remove small stones and grit that prematurely wear and scratch the floor. It is also advisable to place mats at all external entrances to any area where your timber flooring has been installed.

Depending upon the type of stain and how long it has been left unattended, some boards may permanently discolour. Should this occur, contact your nearest Carpet Choice store. As it is possible to repair boards within a floor, you might like to replace the affected boards with new ones.
